Sea World trip!!

Well, it's going to be another post with TONS 'o pictures! But hey, that's what makes blogs fun, right?

Here's the run-down of our Sea World Weekend...

We headed out after lunch on Friday for San Antonio with the kiddos and made it to our hotel about 5. We stayed at a brand new Comfort Inn that was just two miles from Sea World. We grabbed a quick bite to eat before heading down to the hotel's indoor pool. Ryan thought the indoor pool was awesome because he didn't have to put on sunscreen! We crashed out early since we knew Cade would be up and running at the crack of dawn... which he was! At 7 a.m. he was rearing to go so we got ready and went for some breakfast at IHOP... yummy!! We got to Sea World and decided to pay extra for Shamu's Preferred Parking.... which was one of our wisest decisions all weekend since we got to park basically right at the front gate.

Our first stop was the Shamu show... and some lady was nice enough to take a family photo. She even danced around and acted crazy trying to get Cade to smile. But he wasn't having it.

Cade sat mesmerized through the entire show and even knows how to say "whale" and flap his arms up and down like Shamu's tail.

After the Shamu show, it was straight to the Sea Lion show. But not before Cade was given some time to run off a little energy and climb on the bleachers. He thought the Handicap area was especially fun...

In between the Sea Lion show and the Water Ski show, Jodi and Ryan went and stood where they got SOAKED from one of the water rides. If you look closely, you can see them kind of in the corner just to the right of the guy in the white shirt. They are both wearing black.

All soaked... but it felt good in the 900-degree heat. Yes, I mean to type 900-degree heat!

Cade crashed out for a 30-minute nap during the water ski show.  This was the only nap he had all day and he did great! I was shocked. He never fussed all day!

We also went to the water park portion of Sea World and had a blast. No pictures, though, because my camera was locked away in our rent-a-locker. Bummer. Rest assured Cade looked cute and we had a blast!! Cade loved the kiddie pool and going down the "Weeee!" (Slide). We took turns two of us staying with Cade in the kiddie pool, while the other two went on a "big kid" ride. 

After Sea World and a nap for Cade, we ate dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and had ice cream when we got back to the hotel.

I got a Drumstick, but guess who ended up eating it?

The kids got toys at Sea World with their spending money (thanks Pops!) and Ryan and Jodi each got a giant Shamu.

And Caderoo got a big dolphin and a squeaky whale.

We took the kiddos shopping on Sunday morning before heading back to Dublin. It was a long, weekend, but we had a blast. 

Two of the three kids crashed on the way home. Ryan's not much of a car sleeper.
